Michael was born in San Luis Obispo, California, but spent most of his life growing up near Atlanta, Georgia. The son of Steve and Jill, the brother of Nick, and the love-child to an obsession called musical theatre, Michael first fell in love with performing after seeing the Broadway musical Phantom of the Opera at a young age. From then on he could often be seen in such prestigious venues as the Austin-family living room dressed as the Phantom giving his rendition of “Music of the Night” to an eager audience (usually consisting of no one). Michael’s desire for the stage grew and as he began to encounter more and more musicals, his CD collection began to grow as well.
Finally, the moment came and Michael took the floor of his school gymnasium to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” before a big basketball game. His teary eyed parents finally realized their child wasn’t tone deaf, and what they heard coming from his bedroom all those years wasn’t actually the cast recording of Oliver, it was their son!
Michael has entertained audiences in 28 countries internationally but calls Lancaster, Pennsylvania home.
